Sherrif F. Ibrahim, MD, PhD
Dr. Ibrahim is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery.
He is also the founder of Rochester Dermatologic Surgery and an Associate professor of Dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He completed residency training at the University of Rochester, followed by a fellowship in Mohs surgery, facial reconstruction, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.
He is passionate about treating all types of skin cancer and is involved in the most cutting-edge aspects of care and research. He acts as a national key opinion leader for many therapeutic areas and helps bring these new advances to mainstream care. Dr. Ibrahim publishes regularly in all major skin cancer-related journals, lectures nationally, and has performed over 15,000 Mohs surgery cases.
William H. Sipprell III, MD
Dr. Sipprell is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery. His practice focuses on procedural and surgical dermatology, including the management of skin cancer with Mohs surgery.
He completed a dermatology residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Mohs surgery, facial reconstruction, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Sipprell is originally from Hamburg, NY. Throughout his medical career, he has co-authored several journal articles and presented his research at various local and national meetings. In his space, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys, photography, and traveling.
Alexandra M. Bender, MD, PhD
Dr. Bender is a dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her practice encompasses medical and cosmetic dermatology, procedural dermatology, and laser surgery.
She attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she earned her MD as well as a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine. She completed dermatology residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center where she was chief resident. She is passionate about research and has been awarded grants by the National Institutes of Health and the American Medical Association Foundation. She regularly publishes articles in major medical and dermatology journals and presents at national meetings.
Dr. Bender is originally from Minnesota. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, running, Pilates, and exploring all that Rochester, the Finger Lakes, and Adirondacks have to offer.
Kelly Demchuk / Nurse Practitioner
Kelly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St. John Fisher University, Rochester, NY in 2012. Following her graduation, she worked with Unity Health System, offering her expertise in the Cardiac/Stroke Unit and Intensive Care Unit. Concurrently, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2017, also at Fisher. Soon after, Kelly started her professional journey in Dermatology.
She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Kelly is also an active member of the Dermatology Nurse’s Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Outside her professional life, Kelly cherishes moments with her husband, sons, and two rescue dogs. Her personal interests include yoga, fitness, travel, and reading.
Jennifer Tantalo / Physician Assistant
Beginning her professional journey in 2004, Jennifer acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her 19-year career is dedicated to general dermatology, and she has earned a reputation for handling various skin conditions.
Jennifer is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Further strengthening her professional credentials, she is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Rochester Regional Physician Assistant Association.
When she's not working, Jennifer enjoys her time with her boyfriend, son, and their three dogs. In her free time, she loves engaging in yoga, exploring hiking trails, and participating in wine and beer tours.

Dr. Ibrahim's extensive qualifications suggest he's more than prepared to operate a dermatology practice. He is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery.
He is also the founder of Rochester Dermatologic Surgery and an Associate professor of Dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
